只今、外は激しい雷雨のため、少々ビビりながらアトリエにて

新しいパターンを考案中。久しぶりに100％テキスタイルデザインです。

先日、母校を訪門したことが私のやる気を刺激していることは確かですが、そんななか大学時代の友人から来年３月、仙台で行なわれるチャリティー展覧会へ参加要請があり。

なんだか自分の力で切り開くのではなく、自然と何かに引っ張られている様な気さえします。こんなことってなかなか無いから、今は流れに身を任せてみようと思っています。

「仙台」「３月」「チャリティー」と聞けば、誰もがあの震災を思い浮かべることと思います。 まだ知らない現実を受け止める心の準備ををしつつ、未来に繋ぐメッセージを込めた作品を作りたいです。

I am devising a new pattern, but I am also scared of  the intensive thunderstorm now. It is 100％ textile design after a long absence.

It is sure that visiting my old school stimulates my motivation as a designer. In addition, the other day, there is a request to participate a charity exhibition performed in Sendai in next March by my old friend. I did not open this up by own power. I feel like seeming to be pulled by something.

Anyone remembers that earthquake disaster if we hear with " charity " , " Sendai ", and " March " . I want to make a work with a message to tie to the future.

Vävning Klass

近頃、少し涼しいから過ごしやすい。
この夏、日本での母校にて織りクラスの講師を務めることになり、
私の小さなアトリエにカラフルな糸が散乱している。
サンプルを作りつつ基本の確認。
コツコツとやって１つの絵が完成していくさまは心地いい。

この感覚忘れないようにしなきゃあなぁと、思う。
パソコンの中で絵を描いたり、繰り返しをつける作業は、
現代のデザイナーにとって必須の技術だし、それを活用して
上手くやっている人も沢山いる。
でも私は、それを手先のように上手く扱いきれない。
やっぱりアナログな人間なの。いやいや、努力が足りないのかも？

地道にコツコツ。気長にトントン。
変わらない夏が続いています。

Recently it it easy to spend becouse of the coolness. 
This summer, I am visiting my old school in Japan  as a lecturer of the textile class. Colorful threads are scattered in my small studio. I am confirming basics while making a sample.

It is fun to see one picture leaving little by little. I really like this feeling. We draw a picture on a PC, and the work to add repetition is technique for modern designers. There are many creators doing it well. But I cannot treat it like own fingers well. I am an analog human being. No, is an effort not enough?

Steadily steadily. Patiently slowly.
My summer days continue.

les tapisseries

先日、六本木までその貴婦人に会いに行ってきました。

平日にも関わらず来場客が多いことからも、この展覧会への注目度の高さが伺えました。

何年ぶりでしょうか、この作品に囲まれるのは。

あの時はただ、圧倒されてしまい呆然とその作品の前で立ち尽くしていました。

今回はこの超大作の歴史背景や謎についての解説を聞きながら、勉強する様な気持ちでみてきました。

 

私がデザインやアートに関わるきっかけとなった領域、テキスタイルはアートになり得る。素直にそう感じさせてくれる作品です。行って良かった！！

東京での展示は7月15日（月）まで。

I went to Roppongi  to see the lady a few days ago.

There were many people at the museum in spite of the weekday.

I see the famous series tapestries after a long time. When I saw it at the first time, I was so shocked because of its power to attract me.

But this time, I saw them to study and research about the spectacular's history and background.

I was totally refreshed, and it makes me to think that textile can be one of art.

The exhibition in Tokyo in until June 15th, Monday. Hurry to see it !!

THE FACTORY 2

久しぶりに面白い展覧会へ参加しに行ってきました。
栗栖良依さんがディレクターを務めるSLOW LABELの企画で行なわれているイベントで、今回はその２回目の展覧会、その名も「急募！スローファブリック工場の職人」展。

栗栖さんは、私が出産直後まだ病院のベットの中でメールを頂いてから、ずっとお会いしたいと思っていた方です。しかも、このタイトル、、、私がいかなくてどうする！？と、言うわけでムスメ共々、職人として働いてきました。

来場者が”職人”となり、実際の商品作り（お仕事）に参加し、お仕事の後には会場内で使えるマネーをゲット。自分の作った商品を差額を払って買うも良し、カフェでつかうも良し。

短い時間ではありましたが、大量生産では実現出来ない自由なものつくりについて考えるきっかけをもらったように感じます。久しぶりのワクワクをありがとうございました。
3月中のお出かけ先にお勧めです。

I went to participate in an interesting exhibition after a long absence. It is a unique event planed by Kuris Yoshie who is a director of SLOW LABEL. The title of the exhibition is also impressive, THE FACTORY 2. I have wanted to meet Kuris since I got a mail from her when I was hospitalized.

The guests become "craftsman" and participates in the making of real product (work) and get special money to be able to use in the event place after the work. Some guests use the money to get something to eat, and someone use it for own product. It was short time, but it was an great opportunity to think about the possibility of handicraft in such a mass production world.

Birds

気がついたら、既に２月になっていました。
あぁ、もう終っちゃうし！滑り込みで更新中です。

新しい商品がベルメゾンで発売されていますので宣伝させてください。昨年ダウンケットになった柄の色違いのフォトアルバムとディスクホルダーが発売されました。布用にデザインした柄が他の商品（紙性ハードカバー）になるなんて、初めての経験でしたので、仕上がりを見た時はなんとも不思議な気分でした。

暖色になってすいぶん女の子らしい雰囲気が漂う（？）フォトアルバムとディスクホルダー。フォトアルバムは600枚も写真を収納出来るので、たくさん撮って沢山収納したい人に向いています。ディスクホルダーの方は、元データのCDやDVDを64枚収納出来ます。

私はこれからフォトアルバムの方にムスメちゃんとムスコちゃんの思い出を沢山収納しようと思います。楽しみです。最後に、千趣会のお世話になった方々にお礼申し上げます。

I realized that it is already ending of February. I'm updating my blog in hurry now.
 
A new product is released in BELLE MAISON. It is the different colors of the pattern which became the down blanket last year. That the pattern which I designed for cloth became other products (paper-related hard cover)! Because it was the first experience, it was a very mysterious feeling when I watched the finish. It is the photo album which it became the warm color, and there is the atmosphere girlish (?).
 
The image is one of the big size. It can hold 600 pieces of photographs. It is suitable for the person who takes a lot of photo. There is a small size also, and this one is a disk holder. It can hold 64 pieces of CD or DVD.

I am going to put a lot of memories of my daughter and son in this from now on.

The Lady and the Unicorn

2012年はなかなか外出も出来なかったけど、それでも新しい家族がうまれた忘れられない1年だったなぁ。とすっかり気分は年越し。
来年は、もっと家族でどこかへ出かけたいなぁ。と新年を迎える準備は気持ちだけ万端。

今、一番楽しみにしている来年の外出先は展覧会「貴婦人と一角獣展」。
遂にヨーロッパ中世美術の至宝が日本初上陸。新宿駅でポスターを見た時は目玉が飛び出るほど驚きました。おもわずポスターの写真を撮った私。

このタペストリーは大学でテキスタイルをかじった人ならだれでも知ってる超有名な 歴史的芸術作品、まさに至宝という呼び方がふさわしい。10年くらい前になるでしょうか、パリのクリュニー中世美術館の円形型の展示室でこの６枚からなるタペストリー群に囲まれた時、身体がしびれるほど感動したことは今でも鮮明に覚えています。

東京展は2013年４月24日から７月15日まで国立新美術館で。
場所が変われば見え方も変わるでしょうから、ちょっとドキドキします。家族で見に行きます。

I  am sure that almost all people who studied textile at University know the tapestries, because the work is very precious to know history of europian textile. I remember that moment clearly  when I saw this work at Musee De Cluny le monde medieval in Paris. Already 10 years ago, but now they were still so impressing.

DESIGN TIDE TOKYO med Coco

今年も行ってきましたデザインタイド。今回はなんと娘も連れていきました。
参加型の展示にひるむこと無く参加していく娘に母は少々疲れましたが、いつもとは違う楽しみ方が出来たと思うことにします。

体験型の展示も多い中、静かに存在感を発揮していたのはEmmanuelle Moureauxさんのtoki。食い入るように眺めては他の展示を見て、また眺めに戻る。この繰り返しでした。「時」という普遍的要素と「色」という感覚的要素の関わり。楽しませてもらいました。

久しぶりの東京散策目的地に選んだデザインタイド。他にも素晴らしい作品があり、たくさん刺激をもらいました、、、。

でも一番の刺激はお昼に飲んだワインかな。あれ本当に刺激的でした。

I went to DESIGN TIDE TOKYO with my daughter. She never hesitated to attend some participatory exhibits, so I was a bit tired but I think it was nice way to see it.

We love the work toki by Emmanuelle Moureaux. It was not a participatory work , but it has strong presence. We enjoyed the coincidence of a universal element "time" and a sensuous element "color".

There were other great works, and I got a lot of stimulation,,,.
But I think the best stimulation was the wine I drank at lunch. It was really spicy.
