４月オープン予定のシフォンケーキ屋さんMénagèreのロゴマークが

決定しました。この２週間楽しく沢山の絵を描かせてもらいました。

表現したかったのはMénagèreのありのままの姿。

温かな紅茶の香り、美しい食器、新調したキャスケット、素朴な刺繍の

キッチンクロス、卵、シフォン、笑顔。

たくさんのモチーフの中から最終的に選ばれたのは、ボールと泡立機、

マグカップ、そして奥さんたっての希望で描いた不器用な形をした泡。

手作りの愛情、そして気取らない雰囲気を伝えられるマークになったの

では？と思います。

数日前、店舗のミニモデルを拝見しました。「こんな素敵なお店のギフトボックスや、ショップカードに使ってもらえのね。」と喜びのあまり、頼まれてもいないのにショップカードモデルを作ってみたりして余韻に浸っているのでした。

Logo mark of Ménagère has been decided.

I drew a lot of pictures happily for these two weeks.

I wanted to express a plain figure of Ménagère.

A fragrance of warm tea, a beautiful tableware, the casket

which is maden newly, embroidered kitchen cloth, an egg,

chiffon, and a smile.

A ball, a foaming mixer, mug cup and the awkward-shaped

bubble that the owner request me to draw have been chosen

among a lot of motifs.

I hope it will be able to convey handmade love and the casual

atmosphere of the shop?

A few days ago, I saw a beautiful mini model of the architecture

of the shop, then I became more and more happy.

My design will be used on gift boxes and cards of such a cool shop. So I am playing to make the sample of the shop cards still.

前回のブログで紹介したケーキ屋さんMénagèreの奥さん。

恐るべし！！

なんと「店のロゴを大至急考えて！」と言うことで、ホッとする間もなく奥さんはクライアントになり、今月中というご希望を叶えるため、気がつけばいつものドタバタをまたもや繰り返している私なのでした。

お世話になっていますからね。喜んでやらせて頂きますとも。

ご安心下さい。

と言うわけで、昨日は大好きな橋本図書館に出かけイマジネーションを湧かせてきました。沢山の資料を見てきたせいでちょっと混乱気味ではありますが、とりあえず手を動かさねばと、ファーストスケッチしてみました。何だか一見子供の落書きのような物ばかりですが、ナチュラル志向で本物志向なMénagèreがあわせ持つ、素朴で包み込むような温かい雰囲気を表現出来ればと思い、堅苦しいフォントははなから頭に浮かんできませんでした。

さてさていったいどんなロゴに落ち着くのでしょうか？

たぶん今月中に発表です。

The owner of Ménagère, the chiffon patisserie which is introduced previous blog. Splendid!!

She has ordered me to make a logo of her shop immediately. She suddenly become my client, then I suddenly became very busy again because she wants to have it in this month.

Don't worry, I will do it on time. It is my pleasure.

I went to Hashimoto library where is one of the most favorite place yesterday. I have been confusing, because I got lots of imagination from watching many material for the design there. Somehow I should start to draw the first sketch. They look graffiti of children. But I think that I will be able to express not only its natural and genuine intention but also the warm atmosphere and the simplicity. I do not have an idea to use the hard and too formal font for it in my head.

By the way, what kind of logo will settle down to?

Probably it is published by the end of this month.

本日午前中やっと、マーケットの申込書を送付してきました。

何だかハプニング連続のバタバタ一週間でしたが、３月上旬の出展者説明会を楽しみに、しばらくは心静かに過ごせそう。写真はアプリケーションの表紙です。tencoさんとのコラボレーション楽しみにしていてください。

そもそもの不調の始まりは、スウェーデンでの思い出を共にしたデジタルカメラが故障したことから始まりました。使い慣れた機器が使えなると全てが上手く運ばなくなり、時間ばかりが過ぎて行きます。続いて、プリンターの紙詰まり大事件（！）。これには本当にヒヤヒヤさせられました。

この試練を乗り越えられたのはご近所の「メナジエーる（４月オープン予定のシフォンケーキ屋さん）の奥様」のおかげです。試作のケーキを沢山食べさせて頂き。なんだかあのバタバタは今では嘘のよう。あ、私はやっぱりコーヒーとチョコのシフォンが好きです。

I have dispatched the application of the market in the morning today.

There were some bad incidents during preparing the application for one week. But hopefully I could finished it, so maybe I will be able to spend some weeks calmly with thinking about the first briefing session of the beginning of March.

The bad lucks started with breakdown of the digital camera which shared a memory in Sweden. It made all things not to carry well. Besides horrible paper jam of my printer had happened too! I was really terrified in this.

The neighboring owner of Ménagère, the chiffon patisserie is opening in April, contributed me for got over this trial very much. In addition I have eaten a lot of sample chiffon cake at her office. Then I feel that messy time is incredible now.

Oh, after all I like the chiffon of the chocolate and coffee.

久々に手を動かして物を作っている。

ピンクッションに続くマーケット向け新商品を考えている。

スウェーデンでマーケットと言えば、なにはさておき

Julmarknad (クリスマスマーケット)だったが、日本は

春に開催のマーケットが多いように思う。さすが桜の国。

だいたいの形と色のイメージが決まり始めている。

何か作ると決めると、あれこれ考えながらサンプルを作って

いる時が一番楽しい。サンプル作りには焦りは禁物。じっくり

と吟味して最終デザインを決めるのだ！

と意気込みすぎて、マーケットの申込に間に合わなくなりそうな

今日この頃。気をつけなくちゃ。

I am making some new products with using my hands after

a long time. They are for selling at market like the pincushion.

Julmarknad (Christmas market) is the biggest event among the

market in Sweden, but there are a lot of market at the spring in

Japan. This is the SAKURA country indeed.

I have almost decided its design. Thinking about it and making

the samples are the most interesting parts among its procedures.

A fret is bad for the making samples. I should examine it closely

slowly and carefully and decide a last design!

But I should not to be late to apply for the market. Be careful, Yuko.

Creator's View

本日、文化出版局発行のインテリア雑誌「SUSU-素住-」no.8にdesignskogenが掲載されました。連載されてい「Creator's View vol.8」に注目のデザイナー（！）として紹介されたんです。全国書店にて発売中と言うことなので、ぜひ手にとって頂ければと思います。

取材をうけたのは去年の年末でした。緊張していてはいたものの、話しやすい担当者の方にベラベラとスウェーデンの思い出を、子育てや制作活動を中心に話しました。記事になった私の話しを読んでみると「強く印象に残った貴重な経験だったのに、ブログでは文章にできていなかったなぁ。」と、ちょっぴり反省。「なるほど、そこが面白いところかぁ。」と、第三者の抜粋を新鮮に感じたりしました。

作品や私自身を紹介して頂けたことはもちろんですが、おおらかなスウェーデンでの子育てや、男女平等社会について具体的に発信する機会を頂けて良かったと思いました。

お世話になった編集社の方々にもこの場にてお礼もうし上げます。

Today, the interior magazine SUSU -Living elements- no.8 has published by BUNKA PUBLISHING BUREAU.There is an article about designskogen at Creator's View vol.8 in the magazine, as an hot new designer. You can take the magazine in hand at bookstores nationwide in Japan. I hope you will enjoy it.

I have been interviewed around the end of the last year. I have enjoyed talking about the memories of Sweden mainly on child care and my creation with the editor although I was nervos. When I read my story that became the article, though " It was the valuable experience left me a strong impression. But I have not written about it in my blog." I reflected a little bit. Besides I thought that the extract of the third person is fresh. Then " Is it interesting for the other people." I murmured.

Of course I am really glad that designskogen has been introduced, but I am more happy that I could get a nice opportunity to send the information of tolerant Swedish child care and society of gender equality.

I want to say thanks the editing company which took care of me.

GALLOP! och SWING!

ロンドンに住んでいる親友が一時帰国している。

会いたくて楽しみにしていたのに風邪を引いてしまい、

約束をキャンセルするはめに、、、。

タフになりたいと呟いたのはついこの間なのに。

寝込んでいたところに彼女から郵送でお土産が届いた。

紙袋を開けて大好きなFORTNUM＆MASONのEARL GREY CLASSIC

を目にしただけでも元気百倍。なのだが、リクエストした

しかけ絵本"GALLOP!"を手にした私は思わずにんまり。

この本はScanimationと言う1960年代末から80年代頃に開発された

アナログアニメーションシステムを使用したもの。

こんな風に書くと古くさく感じるかもしれないけれど、

2007年にWORKMANから出版されたこの本は古くさいどころか、

デジタルに慣れた私達に新鮮な驚きを与えてくれる美しい仕掛け絵本です。

スウェーデンに滞在中に彼女が娘に贈ってくれた、

同じくRufus Butler Seder 著の"SWING!"は娘のお気に入りの本の一つ。

今回の"GALLOP!"もきっとそうなるはず。

今度会うまでに私も何か驚くようなギフトを用意しなくちゃ！？

One of my best friend who lives in London has came back to Japan now. We had a plan to meet in downtown a few days ago, but I canceled it because of my cold.

Though I have written that I want to be tough in this new year a few times ago.

When I was in the bed a souvenir arrived by mail from her. I became very fine once I saw the pack of EARL GREY CLASSIC of FORTNUM＆MASON my favorite tea! Besides, I was delighted that I got "GALLOP!" a book which I requested her as a souvenir.

This book consists of some beautiful scanimation pictures. Scanimation is an analog computer animation system developed from the late 1960s to the early 1980s. Though it may sounds an old-fashioned book as I write in this way, but the book published by WORKMAN in 2007 is far from old-fashioned, and a beautiful device picture book. I think it can give us very fresh surprise more than ordinal digital pictures.

She sent my daughter "SWING!" that is written by the same author Rufus Butler Seder during my family and I were staying in Sweden. The book is already one of the favorite books of my daughter. Surely this "GALLOP!" should be so as well.

I have to prepare a gift that can give a surprise for her by next hanging out! ?

det andra året

久しぶりの日本での年越は、食べ物が美味しくて最高です。

年越しに食べたおそばと天ぷら。そして、

サプライズで用意して頂いたバースデーケーキ！！

（大晦日は私の誕生日なんです。

メーセージをくださった方、ありがとうございます。）

以前は何とも思っていなかった、おせちやお雑煮も

なんと美味しいことでしょう。ビックリしました。

上の写真は娘のために用意した羽子板なのですが、

せっかく張り切って飾りましたが、娘の反応はいまいち。

「Julgran（クリスマスツリー）の方がいい。」ですって。

あなたの健やかな成長を祈って用意したんですが、、、。

まぁ、良いです。

そのうちきっとそんな気持ちに気がついてくれるはず。

とりとめも無く新年そうそう投稿してしまいましたが、

昨年の今頃始めたこのブログも今月で２年目に突入です。

I spend a new year day's eve in Japan after a long time.

I had a wonderful time with my family. Especially foods were really good.

Buckwheawt noodle, tenpura

and the birthday cake(!) that was prepared in secret.

I had not thought that Osechi and Ozoni are so much tasty before,

but it is as i was surprised.

The second photo is a Hagoita(battledore) which I prepared for my daughter.

I decorated it with much effort, but the reaction of my sweety was not good enough.

"Julgran( christmas tree ) is much better." she murmured.

I prepared with my pray for the growth that you are healthy ...

That's Ok. Hope she will realise such a feeling of minein the future.
